Soft armor inspection after a full deployment cycle
After a long deployment our unit is inspecting soft armor panels. Some have been worn daily for months and I want a defensible standard for keep or replace.
Looking for real inspection criteria beyond holding it up to the light: deformation, panel shift, moisture, strap wear. What checklist do you actually use?

We log wear hours and replace on the manufacturer interval regardless of appearance. Appearance tells you very little about fibre degradation.
Do you pull panels early if they were exposed to prolonged moisture?
Yes. Any panel with water exposure gets flagged for the manufacturer, not returned to the pool.
