Riot suit mobility – acceptable trade-offs?

Our team finds full riot suits too restrictive for extended patrols. Are there lighter configurations that still meet the threat profile?

Interested in modular options: a lighter torso with reinforced forearms and shins.

Modular setups worked for us, but protection gaps need to be documented and accepted by command, not just the end user.
